About ADOM Ancient Domains of Mystery for Mac 3.3.3: Ancient Domains of Mystery (ADOM) is one of the most famous and award-winning 'roguelike' domains of all time. Although the first public version of the game dates back to 1994, it's still in active development and has a loyal and large fan base.As in all games of the genre, you get to create your character at the beginning of the game. You can customize your hero by choosing between more than ten races and more than twenty professions. Plus, you can create your character at random, or choose even the smallest detail about it. Once that part's done, it's time to test the prophecy and start the game. Said prophecy says that a hero will rise among the rest to put an end to the darkness that lurks over the world of Ancardia. Moment of truth: your character is probably not that chosen one. Following the traditional roguelike tone, ADOM has a relatively complex interface (you should probably read the manual before playing). Just beware, if you're not a veteran player, the permanent death of your hero, random and lethal dungeons, and the very simple visual section, might discourage you. Fortunately, the game can be controlled with both keyboard and mouse and you can activate some options to make the game less lethal before you start playing. ADOM: Ancient Domains of Mystery is a fun roguelike game with more features and more hours of fun than most modern commercial titles. The main problem (or virtue, depending on how you look at it) is that it's quite difficult to get hold of the general mechanics of the game. It literally has hundreds of little details that we can, of course, learn bit by bit.int(762)
